Terms of Service
effective November 1, 2026
These Terms govern your use of this website and the SilkRoute waitlist (the "Site"). SilkRoute Online Inc. ("SilkRoute", "we", "us") runs the Site from British Columbia, Canada. By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.
Pre-launch
The SilkRoute product isn't available yet. Today the Site describes what we're building and lets you join a waitlist. Joining doesn't create an account, and it doesn't guarantee an invitation, access or a launch date.
We will update these Terms when the product launches. Separate terms may apply to the product.
How we describe the product
SilkRoute is a software company that builds discovery, matching and intent tools for digital assets. The product is designed to be non-custodial. SilkRoute doesn't tokenize items or take custody of them. We provide software for users to interact with and trade tokens. Where a token stands for a physical item, a third party holds that item.
Where the Site describes features, fees, referral and swap fee shares, supported networks or timing, it describes our current plans and design. These can change before launch, and they aren't promises. This is what "Terms apply" refers to across the Site.
No offer or advice
Nothing on the Site is an offer or solicitation to buy, sell or trade any asset or security. Nothing on the Site is financial, investment, legal or tax advice, and using the Site doesn't create an advisory or fiduciary relationship with us. Make your own decisions and get your own advice.
Eligibility
The Site and the waitlist are for adults only. To join the waitlist, you must have reached the age of majority where you live, usually 18 or 19 depending on your jurisdiction (19 in British Columbia). Your use of the Site must be lawful where you are.
Acceptable use
Don't use the Site to break the law or infringe anyone's rights. Don't disrupt the Site, probe its security, scrape it at abusive volume or get around its protections. Don't impersonate SilkRoute or anyone else, or submit someone else's email address without their permission. We may restrict access to the Site if we believe these Terms have been broken.
Intellectual property
The SilkRoute name, logos, design, text and code belong to SilkRoute or its licensors. You may view the Site for your own use. Don't copy or reuse these materials without our written permission, except the files in our media kit, which you may use as the media kit page describes.
Third-party works
The Site shows third-party artworks, collections, marks and networks to illustrate what we're building. They belong to their owners. Showing them doesn't mean that SilkRoute owns or holds them, that their owners endorse, sponsor or partner with SilkRoute, or that any of them is offered for trade. If you believe something on the Site infringes your rights, please write to us.
Image credits: the source and licence of every work shown on this site are listed on the credits page.
Other sites
The Site links to other sites, such as X and LinkedIn, and the waitlist form is submitted through Google. We don't control those services and aren't responsible for them.
Disclaimers
The Site is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind about it, including that it is accurate, complete, uninterrupted or free of errors. Examples on the Site are for illustration only.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, SilkRoute and its directors, officers, employees and contractors are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, value or opportunity, arising from the Site or these Terms.
To the extent the law allows, their total liability for all claims arising from the Site or these Terms is limited to CAD $100.
Nothing in these Terms limits any right or liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit.
Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Disputes go to the courts of British Columbia, unless the law requires a different forum.
Changes
We may change the Site or these Terms at any time, and we will update these Terms when the product launches. Changes take effect when posted here with a new effective date. If you keep using the Site after that, you accept them.
